Bethnal Green Celtic 2-2 Val Park Athletic

Bethnal Green Celtic finally get there first game since the 12th December but they would of wished it would of gone a different way I am sure the first 20 minutes of the game it was mainly Bethnal Green Celtic attacking the Val Park Athletic goal with Val Park Athletic having a few shots as well but it was the Home team that took the lead.

The ball was knocked forward to Philip Hamilton from Michael Anderson from the wing, Philip Hamilton turned and tried to get a shot away but ended up miss kicking it for it to fall to Mark Wingco feet who then laid it off to Paul Anderson on the Right side of the box who powered it pass the Val Park Athletic keeper at the 23rd Minute mark who had no chance of getting a hand to it.

As soon as that goal went in Bethnal Green Celtic had the game under control but it didn’t last that long Val Park Athletic up there work rate and it showed when they where putting Bee Gee’s keeper David Crisford under pressure but he showed he was up to the task when he pulled off save after save but Val Park Athletic did finally beat David Crisford between the sticks but there wasn’t much the keeper could of done from the Val Park Athletic free kick it was like a rocket and it was in the back of the net within seconds off leaving the foot of the Val Park Athletic player even with the score coming back to 1-1 Bethnal Green Celtic where the team to finishes the half stronger.

The second half kicked off with Bethnal Green Celtic going on the attacking from the start and not letting Val Park Athletic settle at all and it looked like it was going to work but sadly the ball just went wide of the post, Bethnal Green Celtic didn’t have to wait long for a second goal of the match come the 54 Minute the ball was played down the left wing Tom Marshall then getting a nice cross into the box and finding Philip Hamilton on the edge of the six yard box and he was able to power the ball home and almost break the net as the ball hit the back of the net.

After Bethnal Green Celtic second goal went in they really should really have put the game to bed when they had a number of good chance to score goals but the players just couldn’t find the back of the net with Tom Marshall, Simon Wainman, Mark Wingco and Philip Hamilton all finding them self within shooting range but couldn’t get the shot on target, that was soon going to come back and bite them on the back side when Val Park Athletic score some what of a dodgy goal from a corner that was given late on, the corner come in from the Left and four Val Park Athletic players jumped on to goalkeeper David Wainman and one of them even caught him with a elbow but for some reason the goal was allowed to stand to cost Bethnal Green Celtic only there second win of the season.
