Chingford Athletic Res 4-5 Bee Gee’s

Bethnal Green Celtic kick off their third friendly today against Chingford Athletic FC at Lawkswood Playing fields; the last time these two players met it was Chingford Athletic coming away with a 12-0 win but with a lot of things changing at Bethnal Green Celtic with players coming and going the result was going to a be a different story this time round, the match kicked off at 2pm with referee Adam Storey taking charge.

It didn’t take long for the first goal to actually come in fact there was only 5 minutes on the clock but to everyone surprise it was the under dogs Bethnal Green Celtic taking the lead with a knock from the left and Larry getting on the end of a bit of back defending from Chingford Athletic, Bethnal Green Celtic seem to get stronger and stronger from when that goal went in and Chingford Athletic just couldn’t find their feet in the game for at least the first 25 minutes but they found there feet and found the back off the net with a fine attack and good finishes from the Athletic forward.

By the end of the second half there had been 3 move goals hit the back of the hit and it started to look like the result it should be with Chingford Athletic going into half time break 3-2 up with, goals from Billy to actually give Bethnal Green Celtic the lead but with two quick goals from Chingford Athletic they went into the break winners.

The second half kicked off with Bethnal Green Celtic giving away the ball from the kick off but that was the last mistake they made for the rest of the second half, shame the same couldn’t be said for Chingford Athletic no disrespect but they didn’t look the same side to what they was in the first half, Bethnal Green Celtic took advantage of that and went on to win the game 5-4 with goals Ian, Shawn and then Billy got his second of the game with Bethnal Green Celtic missing a spot kick to which could of made it a better looking score line for Bethnal Green Celtic.
